Something to Look Forward to

The past few weeks have been tough to say the least. I'm recovering after having surgery to my stomach and I've still got quite a long way to go before I'm back to normal. I've been waiting years for this operation and was well prepared, although now I'm experiencing it, it is much more dibilitating than I thought. At the moment I am walking like Mrs Overall but each day I am improving .... little by little.

Whilst I get better the main thing that has kept me going has been reading the lovely vintage blogs. They are so interesting and informative and have really motivated me to get back on my feet again.
One thing I am especially looking forward to, is attending a vintage hairstyling course run by The Vintage Hair Lounge. It will give me a real confidence boost and enable me to provide authentic vintage up-dos when I do makeovers and photography shoots.
I'm not a qualified hairdresser but I am really good at doing my own hair. You don't need to be a hairdresser to do this course anyway, so it's just as well. The course is two days of intensive work and they don't teach more than four students at a time so you are guaranteed (more or less) one-to-one tuition. I'll learn how to do hair especially for the camera and will get photographs to capture my time on the course. In anticipation, I've been reading the following two books so I've got plenty of ideas and background information before I start ....

So there you are, I have much to look forward to but the main one is getting my health back. Something we all take for granted, right!?
